Turn on the television and chances are you can catch an episode of CSI: Insert-City-Here; love it or hate it, Crime Scene Investigation has seeped into our popular culture and an underwater CSI course is now being offered in the Cayman Islands from Jan. 14-23. The Central Caribbean Marine Institute will be hosting this weeklong course at its Little Cayman Research Centre as part of its Dive With a Researcher program. "Underwater forensics provides an opportunity to play CSI without having to deal with hardcore criminals or messy crime scenes," says Dr. Hector Cruz-Lopez, lead diver and instructor. Join CCMI and learn how to help identify and prosecute those who are illegally threatening reefs and marine ecosystems. But hurry – enrollment ends Nov. 30th.
