Dive Festivals Kick Off the Summer Right
You know it's summer when the festivals kick into full gear. And this year there are a number of awesome dive festivals to get geared up for. To start, check out the Key Largo Dive Fest, happening June 5-10. The celebration of Key Largo's reefs and wrecks features a power-packed week of activities, including an underwater treasure hunt, photo scavenger hunt and seminars by Stephen Frink and the good folks at REEF. Six-night packages with five days of two-tank boat dives start at just $995, and you can even deduct part of the event fee from your taxes!
Next stop on your festival tour is the 2nd annual Montserrat Dive Festival, from June 26 to July 2. Registration is just $40, and gets you a T-shirt, welcome reception and closing party, discounts on the festival activities and a handful of Reef Check dives. When you're not doing your part to protect the environment (on your Reef Check dives) or diving the island's other fantastic sites, you can choose from a variety of topside activities including trips to the volcano, Runaway Ghaut and Jack Boy Hill.
Finally, head on over to the Cayman Islands for the Leave a Legacy trip, August 7-14, hosted by Sport Diver/Scuba Diving Editorial Director and bon vivant Ty Sawyer. It's not a festival in the strictest sense, but you're guaranteed a party like no other combined with excellent diving, as you name sites as part of the Dive 365 program. As an added bonus, you might be one of the first to dive the USS Kittiwake, scheduled to be purpose-sunk at the end of July.

SeaCure Issues Recall
If you recently bought one of the popular SeaCure mouthpieces, you'll want to read this: SeaCure has recently become aware of a sizing problem with certain Sport model mouthpieces and three regulators. The Sport model has a yellow insert in the neck of the mouthpiece and was available in clear, blue and gray. The Sport size I doesn't fit the newer, larger Atomic regs, and the size II/Professional Sport II doesn't fit a Cressi-Sub Ellipse or Zeagle regulators. If you have any of these combinations stop using the mouthpiece and contact SeaCure for a free replacement Hi-Flow Custom mouthpiece.
