Hawaii Businesses Get Tough on Fish Feeding Following the lead of the Coral Reef Alliance’s “Take a Bite out of Fish Feeding” campaign, which discourages using food to attract fish for snorkelers and divers, several of Hawaii’s largest commercial merchandisers –– including Longs Drugs and Walmart –– have agreed to stop selling recreational snorkeling fish food in all Hawaii locations. “As an experienced backpacker and a PADI certified diver, I think it prudent not to be considered a food source for any wildlife...no matter what their size,” said Bob Ingersoll, Vice President of Hawaii Operations at Longs Drugs. “All Longs Drug Stores in Hawaii proudly support the Fish-Friendly Business Alliance.” » For more information about the campaign and to view the list of participating businesses in the Fish-Friendly Business Alliance, visit coral.org/fishfriendly JetBlue Increases Service to Caribbean Starting May 2010, JetBlue will increase its Caribbean flight schedule by offering travelers departing from Boston 25 percent more departures to some of the Caribbean’s hottest destinations. Three more flights will be added weekly to Aruba, for a total of five; Cancun will get two more flights, for a total of three per week; Puerto Rico’s San Juan gets one additional weekly flight, bringing the total to 11; and one additional weekly flight will be added to Montego Bay, Jamaica, for a total of two.
