The newest development in the dive computer market comes from Switzerland: After making a big splash in Europe, the "Scuba Diver Assistant" is now sold across the States and Canada after a successful introduction at last year's DEMA in Orlando.

Not only specialists and expert divers appreciate the feature set and handling, so that it quickly became known as the most intuitive dive computer on the market.

The outstanding OLED color display impresses by its high contrast, low power consumption and a 170° viewing angle.

The uemis Zurich is powered by a lithium polymer battery. It can be charged through the integrated high performance solar cell, with the included travel charger or per USB.

Using the SDA is really easy, even with gloves: three slide controls enable you to navigate through the intuitive menu. The unit is activated either manually or automatically when you start your dive.

The synchronization between the SDA uemis ZURICH and myUemis is done via USB to the internet. You can view and edit your diving logbook, synchronize data like dive spots, contacts, and checklists, etc. and even import dive spots and contacts from uemis DiveWorld.

Meet
Ernst Völlm in person, the engineer and dive legend behind the uemis Zurich SDA. He and his team is looking forward to meet you at the DEMA 2010 in Las Vegas!

Before the dive, you choose one of the sets of gas and safety settings you have previously programmed. During the dive, the situation awareness display assists you in managing critical situations. The buddy function gives you the option of viewing your dive buddies’ safety-relevant data on your uemis SDA if you wish.

The tank pressure sensor which is connected to the first stage high pressure port transmits the tank pressure to the SDA uemis ZURICH. The SDA can monitor up to three different tanks and calculate the individual gas mixes. Maximum pressure is 350 bar. Its range of application includes all gas mixes, and it's powered by a user replaceable CR2 lithium battery.

The Uemis Zurich SDA was developed by a team of Swiss divers. Some of the first dives of the prototype took place in the the frosty Lake Zurich in January 2008. More about the history and for full specs please go to www.uemis.com.
