Bonnier Names Eddy Patricelli Editor-in-Chief of Caribbean Travel + Life

Eddy PatricelliBonnier Corp. has appointed Eddy Patricelli as the new editor-in-chief of Caribbean Travel + Life. Patricelli has been editor-in-chief of Bonnier sister title Islands for the past four years, and brings more than 15 years of experience in the travel business. He will also remain top editor at Islands. By overseeing both Caribbean Travel + Life and Islands, Patricelli hopes to streamline edit and sales efforts and allow the two brands to work together.

Yachting Names Mary South Editor-in-Chief

Mary SouthBonnier has announced the promotion of Mary South to editor-in-chief of Yachting. South was the marine brand’s deputy editor. She joined Yachting in 2007 and has been integral to the brand’s success as it expanded beyond its well-respected magazine presence and onto new media platforms under Bonnier’s lauded corporate-led digital initiatives.

Saveur: Cooking Up Tons of HonorsThe new year has been very bright for Saveur. The Bonnier brand has racked up an impressive 11 national award nominations in 2012 already. The latest is for Saveur.com: a 2012 National Magazine Award nomination for Digital Media. Saveur.com is a finalist in the Best Website category, competing against other top brands including The Atlantic, New York, People and Slate. This is Saveur’s first National Magazine Award nomination on the digital side.

Cruising World Wins Big at Boating Writing Awards

Cruising World Wins Big at Boating Writing AwardsCruising World took home 19 awards at the recent Boating Writers International writing contest. Overall, Bonnier brands dominated the contest with 33 honors, placing in 15 of the 17 contest categories, including seven first-place awards. Cruising World swept the “Boating Lifestyles” category with first-, second- and third-place wins. Yachting followed with seven awards and Sailing World with three wins. Motor Boating, Salt Water Sportsman, Sport Fishing and Boating were also among the award winners at this year’s contest.

BONNIER HONOR
Bruce MillerBruce Miller, VP, consumer marketing, is Bonnier’s latest Hall of Famer. He was inducted into the DMA Circulation Hall of Fame at an awards ceremony on March 8 in New York. Specializing in consumer direct marketing, Miller has been selling magazines and planning their circulations for nearly 44 years. He has worked on or consulted with more than 200 publications since starting as a statistical analyst in the subscription sales department of Hearst Magazines in June 1967. He’s been with our company since 1994. This is the second straight year a Bonnier employee has been inducted into the DMA Hall of Fame. Bob Cohn was honored in 2011.
