Saveur: Cooking Up Tons of Honors

The new year has been very bright for Saveur. The Bonnier brand has racked up an impressive 11 national award nominations in 2012 already. The latest is for Saveur.com: a 2012 National Magazine Award nomination for Digital Media.

Saveur.com is a finalist in the Best Website category, competing against other top brands including The Atlantic, New York, People and Slate. This is Saveur’s first National Magazine Award nomination on the digital side.

Saveur received five finalist nominations for the 2012 International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) awards, which celebrate food journalism. The IACP is committed to excellence in the culinary world, and these awards are considered to be among the most prestigious in the industry.

It also nabbed five previously announced MIN Best of Web nominations. In addition to these 11 nominations, the magazine already has won one award, taking the best feature/cover story design from the Society for News Design.

“It’s an honor to see our team recognized for their work across different mediums,” says Saveur Editor-in-Chief James Oseland. “Our goal is to capture the stories that connect food with the peoples and cultures of the world, be it through our magazine or on our ever-expanding website.”
