Kristin Cohen Returns to Bonnier to Head Saveur Sales

Bonnier has named Kristin Cohen associate publisher of Saveur, a position she held previously — and during that time the magazine produced sizzling results: double-digit growth in ad pages and revenue despite the industry downturn. This time, Cohen heads the brand as its sees rapid growth in multiple platforms, notably Saveur.com, a top gainer among all magazines, with triple-digit growth for page views and unique visitors in 2011.

“I’m thrilled to rejoin Saveur, a team and brand for which I am beyond passionate. With unwavering editorial direction over the last 18 years, the brand has persevered and grown in the emerging media environment,” said Cohen. “And I am lucky and proud to be back with one of the most creative and dynamic teams in the business.”

“Kristin’s success with the title is shown not only by sheer numbers but in her strategic thinking as we deliver our partners a complementary platform for their brands and an engaged audience in whatever medium in which they choose to consume it,” said Ernie Renzulli, Bonnier vice president, group publisher.

Cohen hopes to continue the acceleration of the brand beyond its traditional print platform. With Editor-in-Chief James Oseland’s visibility on the top-rated Top Chef Masters television platform; the expanding culinary and travel events; the website, which is delivering over 1 million monthly uniques — the audience is finding the Saveur brand everywhere. The clearest demonstration of that reach was the website’s “How to Peel Garlic” video, which received 1 million-plus views in the two weeks after it went live and was ranked one of the top 10 how-to videos on YouTube.

Prior to joining Bonnier, Cohen worked for Men’s Health, Travel + Leisure, Allure and Lucky.
