| SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS |
Bonnier has landed three panel spots at the world’s largest media and technology conference, SXSW, in Austin, Texas, March 9-18. Jacob Ward, West Coast Bureau Chief for the Technology Group; Megan Miller, Bonnier R&D; and Sara Öhrvall‚ Bonnier R&D‚ have all been selected to speak in prominent roles.
Ward will lead a panel on how open innovation and crowdsourcing can transform your business, either through a breakthrough “eureka” idea or continuous and incremental improvement of a product or service.
Miller will host a panel called “Hack Your Brain for Peak Performance” (how technology can make you smarter)‚ together with a Stanford neuroinnovation expert, the CEO of brain game software company Lumosity.com, and a man who “hacked” his own brain to improve a cognitive disfunction using biofeedback.
Öhrvall will lead a panel discussion called “Closer to One: Buddhism and the Internet of Things.” Both Miller’s and Öhrvall’s panels are related to what Bonnier R&D has been researching with regard to the future of media: the internet of things (a not-too-distant future when the physical objects around us are web-enabled and can talk to each other and to us) and the quantified self (using technology to improve our bodies). |
