Since taking the helm a year ago, Connery and her team have retooled the magazine for a new generation of millennial moms and dads: People who were kids in nontraditional families, are savvy digital citizens, and can’t get enough pop culture. Those kids have since grown up and now have kids of their own.

A shot of the August issue of Parenting Early Years was shown as the topic of conversation focused on an article about the importance of frequent walks while pregnant. A character also commented that the title is her baby’s favorite magazine.

SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS
Gregg HanoGregg Hano, vice president, group publisher of Bonnier’s Technology Group, spoke at the Digital Content Monetization Conference on Oct. 11 in New York. He was on a panel discussing “Mobiles and Tablets: Identifying the Opportunity." Gregg will also be speaking Nov. 10 at the ABC conference. His panel will be discussing how to create a successful digital magazine, market it to consumers and sell it to buyers.

Helen JonsenHelen Jonsen, director of digital media for Working Mother, was a guest moderator at the Executive Women’s Conference in Stockholm, Sweden, on Oct. 6. The conference centered on creativity in business‚ with her panel focusing on “How to Leverage the New Media Scene.”
