Bonnier Names Top Travel Executive as Vice President, Group Publisher

Ernie RenzulliErnie Renzulli, COO, VP and publisher of Shermans Travel Media for the past four years, has joined Bonnier Corp. to head the company’s travel brands. In his new position as VP, group publisher, Renzulli will oversee Islands, Caribbean Travel + Life, Spa and Destination Weddings & Honeymoons.

Heather GumbleyHeather Gumbley has been named the new associate publisher, marketing for the Parenting Group. She joins Bonnier from Condé Nast, where she was most recently the executive director of creative services for the Fairchild Fashion Group, overseeing an integrated marketing team responsible for Women’s Wear Daily and the Fairchild stable of fashion, retail and beauty trade publications.

Bonnier Corp. Employees Flying off to GRIDFourteen Bonnier Corp. employees have been selected to attend, along with CEO Terry Snow, the annual Bonnier GRID media conference in Stockholm, Sept. 5-6. This is the fourth straight year that a group from the U.S. has attended GRID, which invites passionate speakers from all corners of the globe to engage with 250 Bonnier employees, selected from 175 companies across 17 countries.

Florida Travel + LifeFlorida Travel + Life is the winner of the 2011 Best Overall Magazine award in the state of Florida. The Florida Magazine Association announced its winners at a gala last Friday, Aug. 19. Florida Travel + Life also took two others firsts: Best Department and Best Original Color Photo.

Islands won the most first-place awards of all the magazines competing, taking home five: Best Written, Best Feature, Best Overall Design, Best Overall Use of Photography and Best Feature Design.
