Inspiring travel in a whole new way, Islands has launched its Premiere Edition for the iPad. The Islands storefront app, available in Apple’s App Store, includes the Premiere Edition as an in-app purchase plus a free wallpaper edition of editors’ favorite island photos. Welcoming GROW Participants in Winter Park and New York
With the last period of this year’s Bonnier GROW Program here, we have three new participants visiting our Bonnier Corp. offices. In Winter Park, Rikke David, graphic designer for the Bonnier Publications A/S marketing department in Copenhagen, Denmark, joins the design services team as a graphic designer, and Merete Lind, production development and project manager for Bonnierforlagen in Stockholm, Sweden, comes on board as a production manager. In New York, Lena Soderqvist, administrator and Web editor for SF Media in Solna, Sweden, joins us as an online producer.

Helen Jonsen, director of digital media for Working Mother Media, was a featured panelist at the Executive Women’s Conference hosted by the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York on Oct. 7. The event was called Women Leaders in the 21st Century. Jonsen was on the panel “Burning to Do It Better Than the Rest,” along with women from both sides of the Atlantic.  Jonas Bonnier Bonnier Corp.’s Chairman of the Board Jonas Bonnier received an award at the conference for mentoring women in business during his career. At the event, he said that his first two bosses were women, and he never expected not to be working with women in all ranks.

Jim Patterson, senior director of operations for Bonnier’s consumer marketing department, has been inducted into the Fulfillment Hall of Fame. Awarded by the Fulfillment Management Association, this high honor is presented to the individual who, through innovative and strategic thinking, has made significant contributions to the fulfillment industry in his or her career. Jim is a 30-year veteran of the fulfillment industry, here at Bonnier since December. Over the years, Jim has been known in the industry as a strong advocate for client and employee interests within the companies where he worked.
