“This was the most impressive turnout we’ve had in the past decade or so that we’ve been giving the awards. It shows that they are recognized in the industry and are valued by the people and companies that receive them,” said Peter Janssen, Editorial Director of Motor Boating. The most impressive attendee was Howard Chen, the president of Jet-Term Marine, which makes the award-winning Selene 47, who told editors he came from his office in China specifically to accept the award. All told, the magazine presented 11 awards to companies that had created breakthrough or game-changing boats, electronics, gear and events in the past year. The winning companies, in addition to Jet-Term Marine, were: MasterCraft, Grand Banks, Regal, FLIR, Navico, Intellian, Nordhavn, Mochi Craft (Ferretti Group), Volvo Penta and Yamaha. ![]() Left to right: Nordhavn Southeast Sales Manager Andy Hegley, Nordhavn Marketing Manager Amy Zahra, Publisher of Motor Boating John McEver, Nordhavn Director of Marketing Jenny Stern, Editorial Director of Motor Boating Peter Janssen, Nordhavn Southeast Salesman Ted Robie. |
